This breathtaking house in San Francisco was
isolated from its woodland garden. Existing
decks and fire escape stairs provided an
awkward entrance to a garden of many levels
and poorly maintained plants. The design
opened a grand stairs to a new outdoor deck
room from which a lovely old fountain
(resting on a stone surround) can be enjoyed.
The enticing pathway leads to a hidden patio
and fire pit under the protective cover of mature
trees. Tropical plant material choices give this
garden an exotic vacation feeling.
